Why the name Unofficial?
Google doesn't recommend an "Official" vendor for Google Cardboard, hence the "Unofficial" name.

What's the difference between Virtual Reality [VR], Augmented Reality [AR], and Mixed Reality?
Virtual reality is what Oculus and Facebook are doing, allowing users to step out of this world and into another one. Augmented reality overlays the real world with additional information — which is what Microsoft is doing with HoloLens. Mixed reality is more like virtual reality in that you can't see your actual surroundings, but a bit like HoloLens in that you can interact with Microsoft apps and move around a digital space. - Todd Haselton

Which apps should I start off with?
Most people will start with the Google Cardboard app or the Cardboard Camera app by Google.

You can travel anywhere. Try looking at places you have never been or revisit a favorite area.
These are just some apps to help you get started and show you what's available. The potentials are limitless. You can find hundreds of other apps available for both platforms in their respective app stores.

What is the cost for shipping?
Domestic/International:
All shipping prices are determined during checkout based on shipping address and the product(s) being purchased.

How long does shipping take?

Domestic (USA):
USPS First Class should not take longer than 7 days to arrive after it has shipped. If it has been longer than that, please contact us. USPS Priority is 2-4 days. Fedex is determined by address during checkout, overnight is available.

International:
USPS First Class should not take longer than 21 days to arrive after it has shipped. If it has been longer than that, please contact us. Fedex and DHL are determined by shipping address during checkout. Overnight to Canada is available.

Do you ship to my country?
More than likely yes. This will be determined during checkout based on your shipping address. Please place items in the cart and then go to checkout to see the shipping options.

What are the cutoff times for shipping the same day?
All retail website orders placed before 8am Pacific time will ship out the same business day, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. This may be extended by a day or two around the holiday season. Custom branded orders will ship out as scheduled.

How do I log into my account?
From the website, click the outline of the little person in upper right-hand corner then click Login.

How do I reset my account password?
From the website, click the outline of the little person in upper right-hand corner then click Login, then click Reset Password.

I ordered without registering, what do I do?
Click the outline of the person in the upper right-hand corner, and click Register an account. Make sure to use the same email you did when you ordered. You will receive a confirmation email once you confirm and you will be able to see your orders.

The button doesn't work, what should I do?
While we QC test every single viewer that leaves our factory, some slip through the cracks. You can try pushing on the cardboard on the inside to alleviate the pressure and allow the button to move freely. Just a little bit of pressure is all it takes sometimes. If your button is still not working please contact us for a replacement HERE.

The mini suction pad doesn’t work, what should I do?
The mini suction pad will only work on surfaces that are even. If your phone has a textured back, such as the Samsung S6 Active, it will not work. An easy solution is to put a piece of tape on the back on the phone while you are using it. Both packing tape and duct tape will stick to the pad.
If the pad gets dirty you can clean it with water, similar to any suction cup. Just remember to not get the cardboard around it wet or it will puff out.

The image appears to be blurry/double vision, what do I do?
If you are using the 2.0 Plus, adjust the left and right tabs until your vision feels comfortable. The best method is to adjust the tabs on the sides one at a time with each eye closed until the lenses are directly in front of the eyes.
Also, try to move the phone to the left or right. The phone needs to be positioned just right for the apps to be viewed properly.
Lastly, if you are still having issues, be sure the "more rounded" side of the lens is facing the phone.

The lenses are dirty/scratched how do I clean them?
You can clean them with either rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. Use a cotton ball or Q-tip to avoid coming in contact with the cardboard. The cardboard will absorb the liquid and puff out.

My QR code has faded/Need QR code - Do you have a place where I can scan one?
Scan the QR Code that matches the viewer you have:

The glue came undone, what do I do?
- Scrape the dried glue away
- Apply hot glue or wood glue (Elmers)
- Hold for 15-20 seconds.
